Gucci vs Fendi – who are Farah and Aqeel Star ?

Picture1

According to “Purseforum” website, that based on the audience opening, Gucci was more prestigious than Fendi. This came in favour of Gucci fans or Gucci’s target audience, as they had 69 votes and that calculates to 71.9% as demonstrated in the findings above.

Although Gucci had the most votes and became the audience’s preference on this website, I personally don’t think that this voting is fair. This is not because I like Fendi more, however there are certain issues that need to be clarified here.  First, this voting was done on a website and not many people know about this website. Second, this voting wasn’t promoted or shared on any social media platforms, because nowadays almost every brand and many people are on social media. Therefore, including social media platforms in voting’s would make such results fair for both companies or parties. Finally, underneath the voting question and in a small font size statement that says, “Multiple votes are allowed”; this allowed the audience to vote more than once and this is a big mistake in to be done when conducting surveys, because this allows voting more than once by the same person, something which results in unrealistic results and affect the findings reached.

These three reasons can showcase why these results were unfair. On the other hand, I think that both Gucci and Fendi are prestigious in their own ways and their own style. Both brands have different designers and different details that present each brand’s identity and states who they are. These small details give each brand their visual identity.  For example, Fendi has the letter “F” as their logo and they use it in almost all of their designs. They also have the word “Fendi” and the yellow eyes on their designs, which is a creative idea for them to save their rights.

When Gucci use their name, their symbols “GG”, the tigers’ symbol with their name and their three colours black, red and green on all of their products. Additionally, for this season and the past seasons, they used bees and stars on their designs, which are now trending across the world. Having this change is their designs is a big change for them. I think this explains why they scored the highest number of votes.

In addition, in the gulf countries, there is a couple who were actors before they became influencers alongside to their career. These two influencers are Farah Al Hadi and Aqeel Al Raisi. This couple is fully sponsored by Gucci and Fendi to brand and advertise these two brands by wearing and showcasing their clothes. Moreover, in order to promote the new Gucci line where they started in clouding stars and bees into their collection; Aqeel named himself “Aqeel Star” as a nickname and now he is known by Aqeel star.

Video Review- Poca&Poca with Hala

Hala Al Turk is a 16-year-old Bahraini singer/ Actress. Hala is half Jordanian and half Bahraini. She started her own fashion line this year 2018, when she signed a contract with the Poland brand Poca&Poca with the help of her agent Platinum records. Hala was very excited about her new Fashion line as she is the youngest Arab celebrity to have her own fashion line named after her “Poca&Poca with Hala”.
Hala has launched her new collection in Dubai Mall as there is a Poca&Poca store in it. Moreover, Hala sang an Arabic song on stage wearing a dress from her new collection. Her fashion shows were a mixture of a consort because she’s a singer and a fashion runway.  Therefore, as she sang her song, the models came out from behind her and walked down the runway as it is shown in the video.
The collection Poca&Poca with Hala is simple but class and elegant, meaning that the dresses are suitable for events, parties, interviews, graduations and any other formal/ casual events. The collection comes in four colours, white, nude, baby pink and baby brown. All of her colours are cool and represent peace and calmness. These colors are also the trend colours in the Middle East. Hala made a clever and smooth choice when choosing these colours and designs for her first steps into the fashion world.
The designs of these dresses are classic and modern at the same time.  Having puffy dresses gives a dress its identity.  Most of the dresses have puffy shoulders as well. All of this makes this collection classic and modern, which is new yet fashionable.

We all know the shopping store Zara and how popular it is but what some of us don’t know is Zara’s history and who the founder is, whether Zara is a male or a female?  Well, this post is going to envisage the reader’s mind and look into Zara’s history and popularity.

Zara is a Spanish brand founded on 24thMay 1974 from A Coruna, by Amancio Ortega and Rosalia Mera. In the early days Zara was actually named after a movie called “Zobra the Greek”, so Zara was “Zobra”. Although the original name was “Zobra” and had its value then, I believe that the name Zara is much better and more modern. Moreover, the name Zobra didn’t stay for long because the founder Ortega realised that there was a bar on the same block where their shop was located that was called Zobra. Accordingly, Ortega decided to change the name “Zobra” to the current name “Zara”. Surprisingly, in the back days Zara was like Primark in our days, meaning that Zara used to sell “lookalike low-price” clothes.

After Zara’s popularity in the early 80s, Ortega opened more stores across Spain and decided to change their style and instead of having one designer, he had a group of designers to design their own fashion line and Ortega called it “Instant Fashions”. After 8 years in 1988, Zara started becoming international as they opened in Portugal, Porto as Porto is the city of art and from this step Zara started expanding across the world. For example, France, Mexico, Italy, Greece, Japan, Malaysia and many more countries.

In September 2010, Zara lunched their online shopping website in the UK and in some other countries. Nowadays Zara has many stores across the UK that keep renewing their clothes and decorations. For example, recently Zara renewed their designs and moved to a bigger store in High cross in Leicester, UK. The above video shows their new and improved store.

Best Instagram Post

When the ‘Day to Day Fashion’ Instagram account first started, it had 20 followers on its first day, because it had an active start from the beginning and had new posts. The number of followers has increased, and it is still increasing.  In the meantime, the number of followers is 56. The account has reached this number of followers, because of the hashtags used on its every post and mentioning of people whom the post is about. Some of these hashtags are in Arabic and some are in English, as the topic is about Arab influencers.  The account idea is organized around having highlights about different aspects related to fashion. For example, High cross, outfits, Coming soon and Channel.

The selection of Instagram as a social media platform for “Day to Day fashion” comes because Instagram is considered as the Arab’s most used platform unlike other social media platforms. For example, social media influencers rarely use Facebook or twitter as these are based on text rather than uploading of videos particularly live videos. Additionally, twitter word count is limited, something that does not leave any space for posting what influences wish to post.  Therefore many social media influencers have their active accounts on Instagram.

Moreover, when re-posting videos the views come between 27-203. The video above reached 203 views. The video was about a nude colour dress designed by a Kuwaiti designer called Yousef Aljasmi. Although this video had 203 views, it only had one comment which was a pink heart emoji with a running man and with a text in Arabic saying “comment, comment”. This creativity by the followers means that they want me to comment on their posts.

About Me

‏I am Hadil Al Zadjali an Omani media Producer. My work in the media department made me realise the essential role fashion can play in media production. Using the term “fashion” branches into Clothing and Makeup. Therefore, I found that fashion not only plays a crucial role in producing media products, rather I realised that it has influenced my daily style and outfit too.

Dr. Kholod and her Family                               Model Roz

‏Knowing about fashion, made me discover some fashion vloggers, such as Dr. Kholod from Kuwait and Model Roz from Saudi Arabia. These fashion Influencers promote for big fashion brands and give tips to their audience about fashion. Most of their audience are from the Middle East and mostly their target audience are ages between 10 – 40 years old.

This relates to me as am in this age group and I follow these influencers to learn from them in which their sense in style, fashion, food and makeup. For example, in the media department when I have a production I always make sure that I think about props, makeup and clothings because I like my production to be perfect in all aspects.  Furthermore, my mind is set on fashion. when every am at work or watching TV I judge what they are wearing, their makeup and their hair style.
